Sightings

SOME RECENT SIGHTINGS SUBMITTED TO THE CLUB

March Highlights:

It's that transitional time of year when there are predictable comings and goings as the overwintering Whooper Swans, Pink-footed Geese, Divers and Fieldfares rub shoulders with the early summer migrants such as Sand Martins, several Warbler Species, Sandwich Tern and Wheatear. Interesting but unusual records include a Mandarin Drake on the 9th at Branton Ponds and a Bittern found dead beneath power lines close to Ford. As ever, the full results are listed below.

Please send sightings for April no later than 1st May, 2017 for County Records and Newsletter. to: - j.lumby@yahoo.com  or j.lumby@yahoo.co.uk
