Sightings

                        SOME RECENT SIGHTINGS SUBMITTED TO THE CLUB

February Highlights:

Most of the most exciting sightings tend to happen on the coast, but Branton Ponds have also shown just how productive this site it can be if visited regularly, with Water Rail on 1st, Little Owl on 4th, 6 Shelduck on 6th, 42 Tree Sparrows and a Little Egret on 12th, plus a Bittern on 17th! At Cheswick Sands and neighbouring Cheswick Black Rocks, Thomas Hibbert and the brothers Ian and Keith Davison visited on 15th and 19th February respectively recording up to 36 Eurasian White-fronted Geese and 2 Tundra Bean Geese, with Common Scoter, Long-tailed Duck, and all three Divers ( Red-throated, Black-throated and Great Northern)offshore. As ever, the full results are listed below.
